Winter Friend Feature 2005-06
Many may ask, why on earth would you feature another photographer on
your site? Well, the answer is really quite simple. She is a friend and an
extraordinary photographer. Besides, competition really isn't competition if
you are confident in your own work. Same goes for my newly found friend
Colleen, she too does wedding photography as I do. (See her site) How
could we ever cover this world with just one photographer? Not possible. In
fact, we find it very hard to believe the tension between professional
photographers. We share the same passion and understand this line of
work. Whom better to share our joys, griefs and excitement with but each
other?
Melissa Martinez-McDermott covers the New Jersey territory. She is
currently enrolled in NYI (New York Institute of Photography) and has since
been recognized by them for her work: See her interview.
She does portrait, creative and nature photography. Her work has been
requested for local school portraits and many others.
